we never sleep

All things that are currently influencing my accessories, style, and surroundings.

The first round of hair accessories is now stocked in the shop.  Dustin Fenstermacher was gracious enough to shoot several of the pieces in my hair.  We were aiming for a Rene Magritte sort-of feel with these photos since the collection has a Surrealist element to it.Photo: Dustin FenstermacherStyle:  Night Blooming Cactus Ponytail Holder

thevenndiagram asked: Hi Lady, I stumbled upon your blog somehow and I love it! What is the name of your shop? Do you sell online? I hope so, because I cant wait to get my hands on one of those hand painted bras!

Oh, hello! I’m so glad you did! Yes, I sell in an etsy shop of the same monicker:

However, the bras will not be stocked until next week. And the hair accessories most likely the following. Thanks for your kind words! xx

plunder:

So obsessed with finger limes at the moment. The perfect snack, so portable, innocuous, doesn’t squirt in your eye, delightful little burst of wonder, refreshment. My mum (horticulturist) brings them home if they’re growing on a site she’s working on. I always keep them in my pockets at school and nibble nibble away.

I’ve decided to branch out a bit in what my shop offers.  This season I will be stocking these hand-dyed, dead-stock silk bras.  The 1960s-era bras arrive to me new in individual packages and then each piece is painted by me using quality, French silk dyes.  These are perfect for spring/summer ensembles with low-cut backs, slouchy tanks, and deep décolletage - when you would prefer for your underthings to be on view.wenvrsleep hand-painted intimates look book for s/s 2012Photo:  Dustin FenstermacherStylist:  Siri ThorsonModel:  CarolineStyle:  Pink Marble(Sheer tanks featured throughout the look book are a collaboration between Siri and Wray of Ambit.  A million thanks to her and everyone else involved!)
