we never sleep

All things that are currently influencing my accessories, style, and surroundings.

You may or may not know that I am working on painting/dying silk bras for spring, which should be released in May.  Since purchasing the dyes, I’ve been using them to color way too many items in my own closet.  I bought these brogues in a thrift shop for $3.99 last week - and I’ve had at them with the dyes on as well.

I think that when you’re a designer you don’t consider your object will be out of fashion in six months. I’ve always tried to do my best for the moment, and whether things last or disappear doesn’t depend on you, on the decisions you as the designer make. I think if you do something very seriously and sincerely, then there’s always something that remains even if it’s not fashionable anymore. It’s only things that are done without the heart that don’t last.
